"Who is RESPONSIBLE for Ashli Babbitt getting shot and killed?"
Whose lies sent her to invade the Capitol?
Maybe we should have a committee investigate this!

(118,356 posts)Busting through a window, while an armed officer points a gun at you and repeatedly orders you to desist, would usually win no sympathy from the "come pry it out of my cold dead hands" gang

(28,504 posts)Or, she may have thought they'd only shoot to injure. I will never understand how breaking and entering, and destruction of property, was seen as okay by these "law and order" assholes because it's "our House." Oh really? You're cool with having hundreds of your friends come who destroy your actual home, take dumps and piss in corners, and stealing your computer? What the actual fuck is wrong with these people?

(15,355 posts)foreign and domestic fear-mongering and racism, stupidity and willful ignorance. On and on.
Trump and his pimply acolytes are just pustules on the butt of these factors.
I'm not sure we can educate the willfully or genetically stupid.

People make more excuses for this grown ass woman that is white than when it comes to black kids.

(7,638 posts)War veterans about who they shot. I just know that there was an enemy and they were dealt with. . Same thing happened here, enemies tried to overthrow the government and they were shot for their efforts. Garbage was taken out. End of story.

(58,721 posts)the cops were remarkably contained that day, as I think they realized that shooting several dozen rioters would not be a good look and would just spur the crazies on for more violence.
Trump is trying his usual, changing the subject. As for whichever officer fired the fatal shot, I don't really care and the only reason Trump wants to know is so he can sic his minions on them with doxxing, death threats, and worse. I don't need to know and neither does Trump. Fuck him.
Ms Babbitt's death was regrettable, but understandable given her rabid assault on the Capitol. Her traitorous attack on our Government is what should be remembered, she's no heroine.

(8,348 posts)Some with semi automatic handguns others with fully automatic long guns coming up the stairs. One shot was fired. No one empties their weapon, the one person breaching was the one person shot. I would say they went above and beyond showing restraint. That said, an officer discharged his weapon, he took a life, it was up close and personal, his life is forever changed. He did his duty and now lives with the consequences.
All that said, what a fucking asshole the former guy is. Trying to get his name out and put a target on his back. When he says back the blue, what he means is paint a target on his back.
Say a prayer, spare a thought, send good vibes, whatever you do, know that the Officer who discharged his weapon has had to live with his actions and the Former most powerful person in the world is trying to put his name out and endanger him and his family.

I don't harbor any regrets for what happened to Ashli Babbitt. What a moron.

(3,835 posts)Allows you punch a cop in the face, tear his helmet off and beat him over the head with it, all while doing mouth service to the Thin Blue Line. It allows you break every law, lash out wherever you see fit and question the consequences in cases like Ashli Babbitts in a way you never would have, had she been climbing through that broken window on behalf of BLM. F these scumbags. Consequences need to rain down on these bastards.

(87 posts)Unfortunately, if the name of the police officer who shot Babbitt becomes public, he or she will have to go into something like the witness protection program.

and an 8 year older girl was killed, who killed her, TFG or the soldier that fired the gun? Who killed all the Yemenis bombed by the planes he sent, TFG or the pilots?
This whole exercise is getting tiresome, to say the least.
