The COVID Stimulus Bill proves that bottom up

not trickle down works to better the economy.

Not that the Repukes will ever accept actual economic proof.

But the Dems should be just as loud and strong on this as they are with their tax cut bullshit.

The Covid relief bill will never get the credit it is due, but it was a massive liberal wish list and it's having the desired effect. The $3.5 Trillion Infrastructure Bill would take it even further and would be the most progressive piece of legislation since FDR.

People hoarding money at the top doesn't do anything for consumer spending.

Put money in the hands of the lower quintile and it tends to get spent.

If your plan is to improve an economy, improve the spending power of poor people first, then distribute stimulus upward on a sliding scale. That's how you create a "rising tide that lifts all boats". It's impossible to create ANY tide with a trickle from the top.

An item or items which, by an 'inception to consumption' footprint, would exemplify the success of the methodology. Do we make anything like clothing or refine anything like elemental polymer ingredients in the US any more? Those things were kinda low pay and environmentally disastrous but surely there's a hold-out somewhere who refused to let their life's labor slip off to Bangladesh or the suburbs of Manilla.
Well, there's always inflation to count on. One's life savings could gain 21% per year while essentials increase by 100%. The secret is not to outlive your savings. A challenging prospect in a fluid economy bristling with radicalized solutions. We're testing the maxims and we shall see what we shall see.

It was a cash grab. Straight up theft of the treasury, and they’re still at it.

I believe that President Biden is here to educate us.

Imagine when the other two bills become law.

I am a tad worried about inflation, but we'll see about that.

need it most will stimulate spending for goods and services way better than waiting for greedy rich money hoarders to share theirs. Unfortunately Republicans will continue to lie about it. So yes, we need to be very loud, loud enough to drown out the lies and point to the tangible results we can show that they can't produce from their tax cuts for the rich.
