The key thing to recognize here is that Reverend King here is not calling for the end of the filibuster. He is (correctly) holding accountable those who use it to block worthwhile legislation.

That's the way to handle the current scenario. Defend the filibuster so that it can be used as intended in the future... but call to account those who use it to block something that people want. Make them pay a political price.
