When India Times says their version of the Freedom Phone was a scam, you know it's 💩.

Reported first by Vice, this self-proclaimed ‘youngest bitcoin millionaire’ in a press release has announced a new kind of smartphone to promote the ‘free speech’ that according to him was rescinded by the big tech companies of today.

The phone is called Freedom Phone and it is going to run on neither Android nor iOS but an entirely different smart operating system that’s called FreedomOS that promises an app store free from censorship. The app store will also be featuring previously banned apps like Parler and Gab. Moreover, Parler will come preloaded on the device.

In the release, Finman has expressed how this phone could be the way of free-communication for the conservatives that is now no longer the case, “This is a historical time. With people, apps, and even The President of the United States banned. Conservatives must create their own means of communication where we can’t be silenced anymore.”

The press release doesn't really talk much about the specifications of the Freedom Phone, apart from a 6-inch colour screen and an ‘amazing camera’ and 128GB of storage.

Even the image of the Freedom Phone aimed at Trump fans or the conservative base looks like a generic Chinese phone with Freedom Phone branding. They also state that the phone won’t “spy on you”, which only makes me more curious about the operating system it’s going to run on.

The device is going on sale for a price tag of $450. Hopefully, this Freedom Phone doesn’t turn out to be a scam like the one we got in India.
