Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just got a decent deal at Wal-Mart on-line...
50 KN95 masks for $39.95, shipping included.
I was kind of hoping this would be my last purchase of masks, but recent events tell me it won't be.

(58,670 posts)they seem to fit well and look pretty durable. I tend to use them more than once, especially since I don't wear them for multiple hours at a time, just for when I'm in stores and such. The smaller, blue ones tend to pop their earloops on my face. I have a rather large chin.
Theres a little store near me that has been selling nothing but masks for the last year. The other day I went in and they offered me all kinds of deals. Things must be slowing down.
I stocked up. Wildfire season is coming.

(1,495 posts)I recently bought a couple packs of them to have for the winter. I thought we would have a summer of low rates and maybe get a bad fall/winter again, but this Delta is so contagious it's happening faster.

(58,670 posts)the ones I got fit pretty well, and snug. Plus, they don't feel like the earloops will pop off suddenly. I hate that.

Free. All I ask is you make a donation to your local Food Bank or candidate running for office.

(20,584 posts)My SIL and I used instructions from a hospital for making masks and she made a ton and I made some too. We discovered they were too small and talking made them fall down. I ended up making ones that were longer and had more fullness in the front and that worked a lot better. I hate to think of what happened to all the masks we made before perfecting our own. I hope they gave them to children.

(21,768 posts)The ones I got are USA made and certified to meet a bunch of standards I have never heard of.
I have to say, they are much sturdier and seem better made than the last batch I bought last fall.

(7,627 posts)Just so you know not all the Walmart Walton's are repukes. Christy Walton has been generous with donations to The Lincoln Project, LGBTQ Victory Fund, and Planned Parenthood. She also has supported John Hickenlooper and Cory Booker. There are other Waltons that have supported Democrats and Democratic causes.

(7,627 posts)I'm sorry to see that you had to endure this type of inappropriate response. We have several here that believe it's alright to talk to other DUers in a condescending tone. It's getting old and it displays no intention on having a discussion, it's only insulting.
Hugs to you, Wounded Bear.

(7,627 posts)I do not understand why people need to talk down to others here. I thought that we were all on the same team on DU.
Thank you for your service.
