French President Emmanuel Macron announced strong measures to combat a new wave of COVID-19 infections and allow a safe reopening. Those who refuse to be vaccinated will not be able to go to public places. “This time you are staying at home, not us”, the president said during a message.

Among other measures, the French government will force health workers to get vaccinated. This is due to the fact that vaccination levels among this sector are worryingly low: only 45% of the personnel who work in nursing homes for the elderly were fully vaccinated.

Non-vaccinated By Choice (NVBCs) are risking everyone's health, not just their own. Allowing themselves to be easy targets for the virus and thus viral incubators and mutation hosts, these imbeciles are worse than simply duped followers of a death cult...they are its hitmen to society at large.

Vaccines WORK. Infection severity and outcomes for breakthrough case (to date) illustrate this perfectly.

I want the unvaccinated to be quarantined and forced to remove themselves from society until they are either infected and recovered or vaccinated or dead. But the rest of society should not be forced to abide their idiocy and vaccine resistance any longer.

I would also make it blatantly clear that hospitalization and in-patient care will be reserved for the vaccinated only and any NVBC patient will be isolated and placed on palliative care only until they either recover or expire naturally. Society will no longer expend resources to save those who will not act to save themselves or protect others.

25. Macron has correct mentality. A pandemic is a wartime situation

which calls for collective sacrifice, including temporarily curtailing of individual rights for the survival of the whole. The CDC made a grave mistake in lifting mask mandates etc too early before we got 80% population vaccinated. It gave the impression that 'the pandemic is over' and those vax hesitant/anti-vax types now have no incentive to get it. Basically we should use every mechanism to prevent these people from taking part in 'normal' society unless they get vax'd.
