(58,785 posts)Wonder if this is somehow related to Democratic senators introducing a bill that would offer Americans a refundable tax credit on the purchase of a new electric bicycle. The Electric Bicycle Incentive Kickstart for the Environment, or E-BIKE Act for short. It's the companion bill to one introduced earlier this year in the House Boebert dishonors.
Driving petroleum burners is heavily government subsidized in a whole variety of ways, and of course the DOI's 70,000 employees are eligible for driving expense reimbursements, but we won't hold our breath waiting for these dark side types to object to that.

I newer looked into it very much because I think it was one of hose things you need to itemize to take advantage of it.
