Delta is rapidly declining in India

Zeke Emanuel mentioned this on the Rachel Show last night. No one knows why but Delta seems to decline as rapidly as it arrives. The same phenomenon is being observed in Britain.

2. Probably because it's so scary it changes people's behaviors

Except in places where people are really really stupid...Trump supporters.

3. Last several days Britain's cases are going back up.

India is presumably not testing that many people.

"Cases of Covid-19 have increased across the majority of the UK with Scotland the only nation to see a decline, according to newly-released data from Office of National Statistics."

6. Please, oh please make it 3 for 3.

It is so bad in FL now, I am really afraid. Right at 30% positive test rating, over 100 out of 100,000 infection level. FUCK!!!

Hubs is now wearing a mask at all times while at work now and I am wearing them in stores. We had started shopping together again, well that's stopped as of last week. I just pray our vaccines hold and protect us since it was exploding at his work 2 weeks ago. No new infections last week, but it's already 1 in 4 that got it - 100% unvaccinated idiots!!!!!

Al of Fl is looking bad, especially the entire north east and south. The only county in the south not exploding with infections is Monroe - the Keys - because vaccines there are at the 68% rate. They're about 49% here - stupid and atrocious.

9. SOB! Of course we couldn't have any really good news about this.

I really hate anti-vaxxers, the murderous & suicidal idiots that they are.

10. Maybe everyone who could possibly get that variant has already gotten it?

It's also important to know that perhaps as many as ten times more people have died there from Covid than has been reported.

Plus, as someone else has already pointed out, their testing rates are extremely low.

13. They went into a lockdown in India

So that explains some of it. And also reduced testing. Still, they’re declining no matter how hard some want that not to happen, or explain it away.

16. It declined from the peaked but leveled at around 40-44 k per day.

With limited testing, who knows how high it actually is, though.

20. I've been here over 5 years. You are correct.

There are several who were insisting the way we are living now will become permanent.

Just human nature. Some of us are optimists some pessimists.

Its not a reflection on values or intentions.

Some here act like if we are vaccinated we are still at mortal danger like we were last year. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve resumed masking and being carefully. Not like last year but still taking precautions. But back then I was scared for the life of my wife and to a lesser degree myself. Now because I don’t want to be sick at all and don’t want to be a spreader to others who can’t get vaccinated.

Remember, the only thing we share here on DU is our liberal politics. And we disagree strongly on what that means as far as policy implementation is concerned. We disagree on all other areas as much as any American. Personally, that is why I like it. I would not be here if it was an echo chamber.

If you don’t want your opinions challenged this is not the place. We are science believing thinkers. We fight like crazy! Respectfully normally. My recommendation is when disagreeing with someone here make it clear you respect their view and they might be correct. It got my ass spanked a lot until I learned that.

But I’ve had my opinions changed more here in the last 5 years than in the past 20. Lots of people here are way smarter and more experienced than me. DU is the only social media I do.
