Punchbowl News says the senators on Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) houseboat — who spent time with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has tested positive for Covid-19 — include: Chris Coons (D-DE), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), and John Thune (R-SD).

This could impact expected votes this week on the bipartisan infrastructure deal.

“In a 50-50 Senate, every vote is key. The next cloture vote will be to cut off debate on amendments. So we’ll have to see how many senators contract Covid and how long they have to stay on the sidelines (and here’s hoping everyone is ok!) If it’s just Graham, the Senate should be able to proceed with little interruption. If it’s a wider outbreak, then that would, of course, change the dynamic entirely.”

Working together for the common good is helped by socializing.
