Top RNC official in Florida spreads Covid-19 conspiracies, calling vaccines the 'mark of the beast'

Top RNC official in Florida spreads Covid-19 conspiracies, calling vaccines the 'mark of the beast'

(CNN)Amid recent surging coronavirus cases in Florida, a top Republican National Committee official in the state has spread anti-vaccine rhetoric and misinformation, comparing the Biden administration's vaccine efforts to Nazi-era "brown shirts," and twice calling the vaccines "the mark of the beast," comparable to a "false god."

A review by CNN's KFile found that Peter Feaman, a lawyer and RNC committeeman from Florida made the comments on his blog the "The Backhoe Chronicles," which he publishes regularly in a private group on MeWe. The social media platform bills itself as the "anti-Facebook" app.

"The Biden brown shirts are beginning to show up at private homes questioning vaccine papers," Feaman wrote on July 20, incorrectly implying government officials would be showing up at people's homes to question their vaccination status, comparing them to the Nazi Party paramilitary wing.

Previously, he supported far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who used the term and faced swift backlash.

In May, Feaman called Covid-19 vaccines a "mark of the beast" -- a reference to a symbol from the biblical Book of Revelations showing allegiance to Satan -- and called Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer "diabolical" for encouraging vaccines. "Diabolical Michigan Governor Whiter wants her citizens to get the Mark of the Beast to participate in society," Feaman wrote.

They will do anything now to anyone in order to "get into heaven." This is mass lunacy.

Unless it takes some sort of action to sanction this sort of behavior, the Florida Bar Association is complicit in whatever harm he does.

And before anyone chimes in about the first amendment, first amendment guarantees only cover what governments may do to limit speech. It says absolutely nothing about professional organizations like the Florida Bar.

I can't read it, because it's on one of those obnoxious sites that won't let you read even one article without subscribing. But the fact that the link contains the phrase "covid-19-conspiracy-nazis" doesn't exactly help his credibility, or the newspaper's!: rofl:

Then find link near the top to the story. Look for the down-pointing right arrow. Select Cached. Sometimes you just get the text with some other clutter, but in this case it seems to provide the whole story sans subscription blocker.

Feaman denied the report. “Fake news,” he said in a text message to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

He's a stupid fascist and probably racist who can see no wrong unless it is a Democratic action.

In 2013, during a speech to the Broward Republican Party, he asserted that then-President Barack Obama committed treason and said his administration was “drunk with power.”

The link does not smear their credibility in the least. And, you don't have a right to get free products from a business.

I am tired of everything Florida being funny and wingnutty to folks on here. SOFL is blue, Cuban-American and elderly northeasterner RWNJ aside.

I’m good, and I think the vaccine is less mark of the beast than 45ii is the Antichrist they tell us about.

And they certainly don’t connect the “mark of the beast” to the people demanding to call it the Trump vaccine.
