If you're so rich, why are you flying coach on Frontier Airlines?
2 mil seems like a lot to a 22 yo.
If my 22 yo did that, Id seriously be disappointed and consider myself a failure of a parent. Theres no way my kids are that entitled.

(11,949 posts)If you are upper middle class you will need that amount to continue the lifestyle you are used to into your 80s.
But thats the trick about money most people dont understand. Once you spend it you have nothing and with people living into their 80s and no government support like in Europe you dare not spend it.
If you are 65 in France and have 2 million you are rich. An illness will not take it all.
It pisses me off that is the case. Young people have no pensions or guaranteed healthcare. In a just nation a person who worked hard their entire life and managed to save 1-2 hundred thousand should be confident in a nice retirement.

That stuff is something they did, not me. I don't get to wave that around. Partly because it's not mine, and partly because "Get a clue. That kind of talk just pisses people off and gives you hassles that you were too stupid to know to avoid."

(50,562 posts)Airliner doors are made so they cant open in flight. However, if I was the captain I would have considered landing at the first airport that can handle an A320 and having the airport police escort the man off the jet.
