Most committee work takes place outside of the hearing room. There is probably plenty going on that we just don't know about yet

Sadly, Republicans mostly do a better job at that than our Dems.

And that has been the case since Karl Rove appeared in national politics. His policy "Seize the daily news narrative by 5 p.m. each day" -- coupled with Bannon's strategy "Flood the zone with shit" simply worked over the last twenty plus years.
