Eventually that started coming back, although things tasted and smelled odd. Emerson had gotten the vaccine about that time and thinks it may have helped.
His sense of smell and taste are not what they were before COVID, he says. But he tries to focus on the positive, he's alive, and the disease could have wrecked his lungs.
While he was struggling, a 40-yr-old friend with no underlying conditions was hospitalized and after 3 weeks died.
I'm surprised my brother didn't tell me much about what his son was going through. Maybe he didn't snap to what was going on, or maybe Emo didn't tell him everything. Sure wish I'd known sooner.
