Billionaires love the working poor blaming 'other'. It has been ever thus. They cheer every time the cult votes against its own best interest. The conservative movement is the biggest con in history. When I taught near Dayton, Ohio the local jeep plant announced it was reducing the workforce by 50 percent. They had an interview in the Dayton Daily News saying they were looking for robot technician and repair people.

I told my science classes what was in the paper and pointed out two community colleges that had those programs.

Response I got...had a parent call the principal to get me fired because he and his dad were going to make certain that their kids would get hired at that plant. I shouldn't tell lies that 2 year associates degrees we're needed to get hired.

They don't want the truth. That would put actual responsibility on their own lack of skills.

5. Sometimes it really sucks being a teacher

You try your damned-est to get through to the kids, and the parents block you every chance they get. (Hopefully at least some students did learn to think critically while under your tutelage.)
