I'm an X smoker and I'm vaccinated

I am so afraid of getting COVID and every time I hear of someone vaccinated but has covid I hyperventilate.

Does anyone have any information on those who are vaccinated got covid and lived/died? I've googled until my fingers turned blue and the lack of information worries me. Well I'm a worrier to begin with.

If I could take anything back in life it would be my smoking years. Links are welcomed as are any stories

while I hear that we vaxxed ones don't get that sick and almost never die, I haven't seen reliable numbers to back it up.

works against the disease, not the infection. Anyone can get the infection, the vaccine helped jump your B memory cells to get your immune system started on destroying the Covid virus. Your immune system now recognizes the spike the Covid uses to bind to the ACE2 inhibitor.

So basically, everyone who got the vaccine , because our immune system has seen it before, so it’s not novel anymore, knows to kill it. Which is 99.9 person of us. Smoking has nothing to do with it.

Yale is offering very popular "Science of Wellbeing" free:

I'd read a study some years ago that reading inspirational literature, such as Chicken Soup for the Soul can raise immune system ~30%!

Similarly, Dr. James Pennebaker's psych benchmark therapeutic journaling can also raise immune system significantly, while reducing anxiety & depression & resulting in higher grades for college students.

Above is an interview with Dr. P.

Above is about the process.

Note: if you struggle with mental health concerns or are in therapy, please consult with your therapist prior to beginning this process as past trauma can be triggered.

Dr. P.'s findings were measured with objective medical tests.

I hope these are helpful.

that have been through it. We were terrified for our nephew, who tested positive on his 9th birthday, July 31. He was achy and lethargic, and had a short lived fever of about 100. He couldn't clearly articulate how bad he felt, he would just say he felt weird, so we used "on a scale from 1 to 10" to track his progress. He goes to a special needs school in Manhattan and they had to shut the whole school down when someone brought it in. Probably a floating speech teacher. Our nephew is completely recovered after about a week.

His mother, who was vaxxed, let him sleep with her and got a heavy viral load. She said she was miserable with pain in her joints and a fever, with exhaustion. This was the second week in August. She's recovered now. 53 years old, heavy smoker and drinker (alcoholic level, fall down the stairs drinker).

A friend of ours, who is a retired pastor, brilliant, careful, leads a healthy lifestyle, and fully vaxxed. He got hammered with a breakthrough case. His wife is a professor at a local University, and she was vaxxed and got sick as well. They are in their 60's, but active and somewhat fit. She lost her sense of taste and smell, had the usual symptoms, very achy, exhausted, cold like symptoms, and then recovered, all in about 2 weeks total. Her husband, on the other hand, a thin, wiry kind of guy, not fat at all, got slammed! He just told us a few days ago that he wound up in the COVID Unit (one block from my house!) for eight days, discharged on the 9th day (about 3 days ago). He was unable to keep his oxygen levels up without help. He was never intubated, but was treated aggressively with broncho-dilators and oxygen, among other things. He sent a picture yesterday of his easy chair, his walker across the room, and a glass of bourbon on his side table! He also had posted a pic of a deep dish pizza earlier, so I think he's on the mend!
