Youd have thought I was trying to rob Fort Knox or something
Yesterday I went online to register for the booster, filled out all the info and finally got the you are scheduled at 4pm and got a txt stating same with a code included
Showed 10 mins early, no one waiting but there was a backup of cars in the p/u window for scripts
so approached the window marked vaccines and waited and waited, eventually young woman attempts to help me and nope, gotta have another to consult with, then a third guy comes to takeover .. I glanced behind me and a few ppl are waiting
still not getting any further with the guy and had to give more info, or at least the same as I had provided online, and after a full 1/2 hour he points me a door marked vaccines
behind me are 1/2 dozen waiting
I shrugged my apologies and entered to the room and the same guy who had seemed to think I wasnt eligible
I showed him my hospital chart on my phone that says I was due the 3rd booster, he didnt care
Finally got my vaxx and on leaving he calls out a name and a women standing like 3rd or 4th in line perked up and he called her in for her vaccine I guess, she hadnt even gotten to the window to sign in ?
Whatever
I hope that guy didnt give me a placebo or saline solution or some shit
everyone who has posted here about their 3rd shot said it was a breeze 🤨

(5,227 posts)No real symptoms beyond mild flu feeling. Two Tylenol and a good night sleep. Perfect today! Good luck.

(31,998 posts)that snaked up and down the aisles of the CVS for my 2nd shot. I stood for 40 min. There were like 40 people scheduled and only one person giving out the shots. They told us hang around in the store for a few minutes after it was given. Most people just left.
First shot was easy peasy. And we were directed to a post-shot waiting area where someone watched over us.
Congratulations on getting your booster! That must be a good feeling!

(4,392 posts)it's what comes quite naturally when there's a lot of chaos in the process from top leadership's science-y opinions to the bottom's CT theories and willful ignorance/denials.
Hoping for a consensus soon, but how soon? I need the flu shot du jour as well and want to space out stressing my aging immune system via an overt over-stimulation response. Two doses of Pfizer-eligible weeks apart were not a problem in February...took more of a risk just getting in the car as a passenger.

(14,531 posts)Walked up to the counter and handed them my vaccine card and told them my Dr. recommended I get a booster.
They asked if I was immunocompromised. I said yes, they said go have a seat behind the partition and I'll be right with you. I was out in 20 minutes.
