Former Gauley Bridge Police Chief, Fayette County woman charged with child sex trafficking

Charging documents say that 57-year-old Larry Allen Clay Jr. gave $50 payments to Kristen Naylor-Legg to have sex with her 17-year-old relative. According to complaints, Naylor-Legg, 28, was present for the sexual encounters between Clay and the victim.

Clay was Chief of Police at Gauley Bridge Police Department and an employee at the Fayette County Sheriff's Department at the time of the crimes.

Complaints say that Clay wore his Gauley Bridge Police Uniform during the first encounter in June 2020.

In my experience working at a motel in the middle of nowhere, this happens far more than is reported.

.... for sex for $50.00 to a local cop? This is so wrong. Gualey Bridge, WV is where the New and Gualey Rivers join to
form the Kanawha River all 3 of which i have long enjoyed.

I was last down there in the fall of 2019 rafting the Gualey and float fishing the New and my fishing guide
told me of the scale and size of the drug problem in rural W.V. and I was floored. He had just lost his wife
to a heroin O.D. less then 3 months before.
