(70,695 posts)This a-hole just a couple of months ago also suppressed a history book (Forget the Alamo), besides his career-long of appearing only with friendly audiences and interviewers.
Or how about that suppressing voting and Choice for other people while imposing and inflicting their wingnut "choices" on others?
Like when a rotted tree fell on him jogging as a student (quadraplegic/wheelchair) and he won $15 millions suing the property owner & landscaper, but one of his earliest political activities was to get a CAP put on others who might sue, $250K tops for them/anybody else but him.
Plus always hitting DOWN, all policies aimed at hurting the most vulnerable and needy.
*** So the AWright Idiot McConaghey (another surname I can't spell, like Schwarztennegger and Stephanopoulis) is clocking ahead of ABBUTT in opinion polls, while Beto is getting ready to run maybe. The best the Awright Idiot could do would be as an Independent; worst, as Repuke - either way hurting the Dem mainstream. As for Beto, scaring Cancun CRUZ last time wasn't enough, needed to WIN. If he loses now, he will be forever stuck as a loser. And it's the jerk Austin young "Libs" who always pick the KEWL option (AWright Idiot), thereby sinking the mainstream Dem. Austin ain't kewl, they're always trying too hard to be KEWL, always playing to the gallery, always looking over their shoulder for the latest FAD. And the Hollywood "down home" types moving to Austin ain't helping.

(12,654 posts)If the Longhorn Network took the money and prepared to air the ad, and a network executive pulled the plug, that's one issue, and the Lincoln Project should take the lumps and their money back because "free market" and all that...
... But, if Abbot's office was involved, that's a totally different situation all together.
Another case against Abbot to be made.

Members of the Lincoln Project, a group of former and current members of the Republican Party who resist the polices of former President Donald Trump, are asking why the ad they produced and paid for didnt air. The $25,000 spot was approved by ESPNs legal department, a Lincoln Project spokesman said.
Despite being cleared by ESPNs legal department, 10 minutes before kickoff, we were informed that the ad would not run, according to a Lincoln Project statement. When asked why, we were told it was a University-made decision. Did Greg Abbott or his allies assert political influence to ensure the advertisement was not broadcast?

(19,201 posts)instead of having Texas secede from the Union - like they're always threatening - I say we kick them out. There's no place for fascism in the United States of America.
Beto would would be a lifetime of fresh air for Texas. We have to make that happen. We have to.

(19,201 posts)Wow, I knew Florida was pinkish, but I didn't think they were red enough to overlook everything DeSantis has done to harm Floridians and Florida's economy.
That's sobering.

(54,379 posts)If he were, the Texas Republicans wouldnt need all those drastic voter suppression measures. Republicans are terrified of letting all Texans vote, and with good reason.

(2,844 posts)ESPN has considerable clout these days. That would cost the LN considerable $$$$$$$. All for one whiny baby republican turdsplatter.

(19,201 posts)White girl is missing, the "liberal" media moves heaven and earth.
Abbott doesn't like being confronted about his miserable performance as Governor, the "liberal" media pulls ad criticizing him.
The "liberal" media in this country is so transparent. I wish they'd cut it out.

(19,201 posts)They could be objective, but they weren't. Just trying to demonstrate that the "liberal media" is a myth. There are multitudinous other examples as well.
