2. Good. Gerrymandering sucks, but it's the only way to even the table right now.

And we all know that Republicans will never voluntarily give up the right to cheat.

As for Oregon, they're doing what the GOPers just nullifies what the GOPers have been doing here in South Carolina for decades. We have the same number of districts, and they squeezed as many Dems as they could into one. If the Republicans want to complain, they can go fuck themselves. Sauce. Goose. Gander.

God knows they’d gerrymander us out of existence, time to do the same when we can.

I hope the rethugs sue. While we sue over states like Texas. And when it gets to SCOTUS if both sides hate it maybe we can finally get it killed. If only rethugs benefit it will never be outlawed but if the Dems do, it will for sure get killed.

9. It's something Dems have no choice but to do right now

Oregon went 56-40 for Biden last year, that would suggest a 4-2 split is fair. 5-1 makes up for what's happening in dozens of Republican states. New York is also going to have an incredibly jerrymandered map. Maryland already does. Several states have non partisan boards now that will un jerrymander their districts and cost Reps a few seats. The big Red states are already jerrymandered to kingdom come, not sure they can squeeze many more seats out of Texas.

Red states gained some seats from the census, but Dems might actually gain for redistricting this time around. Hold the House, the crazies need to be run out of town.

and am deeply disappointed in how many are willing to ignore what is right when the outcome is in our favor.

Gerrymandering is wrong no matter who does it, and principles should not be disposable.
