Remember last week when I started the Twitter thread from the wrong side of tiktok. I wrote about it on DU, here: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100215862507
Well, one of my tweets on the thread was some idiot who worked at FedEx saying he wouldnt deliver packages to people who had a BLM or Biden flag at his house.
The tweet went viral. And the guy is now officially fired.

But then, Republicans, particularly Trump supporters, have become the party of lies, stupidity, treason, and death.

(11,519 posts)Fedex RARELY delivers on time, always at least 2 days late, sometimes much more. UPS and USPS are much better.
I've emailed several sellers and told them I won't buy from them in the future if they continue to use fedex.

UPS has a habit of breaking shit, but I still get the package.
Good ol United Package Smashers. They'll make sure you get your package, no matter how many peices it's in.

(2,475 posts)The potential for home or car vandalism and the cost of repairs along with just pissing me off if it happens isn't worth it. Folks can get away with it in uber-Blue areas but in red or purple areas it's a risk.

(10,431 posts)I just wear t-shirts with my political messages. MAGAts are cowards. They won't say anything to me, even though I see the dirty look. But those same cowards would steal the sticker, or vandalize things anonymously.

Living in Michigan and from the deep South, I get tired of the rebel flags on trucks and most have never as far South as Ohio. So, in the window of my van I have sticker with a picture of William Tecumseh Sherman. I even ask a guy with a rebel flag if he knew who that was. Nope he said, so I told him was a great Republican War Hero.

(11,122 posts)I quit putting them on my care the day that I was cut off by a car speeding in a school zone. The asshole had a Bill Clinton sticker on his car. He didn't change my mind, but I wonder how many "undecideds" would see his behavior as indicative of his candidate.
Then I had to remember that I am not a perfect person, nor a perfect driver. I think of bumper stickers as advertising. I don't know anything about Liberty Mutual insurance, but because of their stupid ads, I won't be calling their agents. So I had to wonder if my inattention to the road or distraction from traffic could cause someone to react the same way.
I'm always happy to see support for my candidate, but I wonder how effective that is in getting people to vote your way just because I have a sticker on my car.
Then there is the rise of lawless republican yahoos to contend with.

(1,654 posts)All it takes is to piss them off with a sign, a bumper sticker, a flag - whatever, and they have this absolute need to get back. It's almost as if they are personally hurt and so they lash out. Such babies. Then some of the need to post on social media or whatever to brag about it. We are a deeply wounded society to have so many of them.

(14,853 posts)... simply because I didn't have the same interests as them!
And I'm referring to experiences with them years ago, long before Trump ran for President and I later learned they were now MAGAts.
One of them encouraged me to create a Facebook account years ago, when it was a fairly new phenomenon, and I said that it didn't interest me. So naturally that was some kind of personal insult against them! Weird as hell!
And if you socially withdraw from them passively to avoid being combative, that's apparently yet another insult.

(2,809 posts)The sort that completely trashes their vehicles, albeit usually old jalopies, covering every available spot with Trump and often hateful stickers tend to outnumber the sort who might only affix one or two often display angry driving habits. Moving billboards for how not to behave.
I'm in Colorado on a summer break from the hospital front lines, and visiting family. I discovered that there's likely an employee of a local oil change shop evidently did a minor vandalization of my vehicle, probably due to my California plates. I knew there was something odd about how my truck drove after they'd started checking fluids on my vehicle, but after I mentioned I wanted full synthetic oil, the rep informed me they were out. I asked if they'd already drained my crankcase, they hadn't, and I left. I discovered much to my horror that my right front tire had well over 100 pounds of pressure on it. I was really lucky I didn't have a blowout enroute home. I got the job done at a far more competent shop in another town.
This reminds me to report that incident to corporate office about this particular "Jiffy Lube".
I should have driven away the moment I spotted a sticker of a Donald Frump pissing on the word "liberals" that had to be an employee vehicle.

(2,809 posts)I went straight to the Jiffy Lube site right after I posted this and made my complaint. Being essentially a California visitor to Colorado, it wouldn't be essentially "my" AG, and I wonder if filing something of the likes would require a police report.
I'm taking it mostly as a laissez-faire, but should the corporate office email me a good coupon, I'll take advantage of it-- at a location in a galaxy far, far away from here, LOL.
Friday afternoon when I discovered this I was fit to be tied. But it's not the only even close to idiotic behaviors I've observed of the Trumpers here or elsewhere.

A former FedEx driver who vowed in a profanity-laced video to never deliver packages to houses championing the Black Lives Matter movement, Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris has since been fired and now wont be delivering packages to any houses at all.
First reported by TooFab on Friday, the delivery company terminated employee Vincent Paterno, 39, after catching wind of a TikTok video in which Paterno smugly states he will not extend services to any house with a flag representing BLM, the President or VP, using a vulgar term to mock Harris first name.

(42,862 posts)Was he going to quit anyway... and just wanted to give Fedex a black-eye as his parting shot? Was it performance-art in an attempt to seek fame (or to fraudulently get a "go fund me" set up to benefit him)?
