$15/hour is a fortune in some counties in Southeast Asia and Central Asia/ India.

Problem arises when US residents are the target.

My guess is this one is targeted to Off Shore work and the salary is stated to discourage US applicants from applying, to insure the need for offshoring is in the public record because no one else will take the job.

Corporations in the IT field use this HR dodge all the time, common practice since at least the year 2000.

Just points out the need for Unionization in the IT field, but that won't happen anytime soon since the majority of IT workers seem to be libertarians.

Fuck Ayn Rand and her sophomoric philosophy of personal greed. She is worse then Karl Marx.

Like they are worth something. If rich people lost all thier money and had to work at a minimum wage job with a toxic boss, dealing with asshole customers all day with a grueling workload and didnt get enough money to not be in deep poverty they'd stop working too.

So why are the rich pigs bitching about workers that don't want to be working all day at shit jobs just to keep thier head barely above water?

Richies pay workers more and treat them well like you value them than you might get people to work.

Rich people are fucking stupid.

And yes, they will have to pay the H1B more than this listing, but that isn't the real appeal of it for the employer.

The H1B worker is essentially an indentured servant. Make the position salaried and give them a 60+ hour per week workload, and they have to do it as their ability to remain in the country is tied to their job.

The H1B visa program needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

job conditions like these are described as a "red hot economy" and they are hailed as "job creators". But when it's a Democrat, it's a "people don't want to work" crisis and a "critical employee shortage" crisis.

Sort of in the same vein as that hurricane Katrina photo where a black family was described as looting while a white family in the same situation was described as "searching for food".

job skills. I think it's a way to find out if you can be groomed to their corporate way and thought. And their way is usually based off of some book for business owners about 7-fuck up ways to be successful, and squeeze more work out of people while paying them less.

I'm retired now, but when I was working, that was the single biggest clue that I didn't want to work for that idiot. It meant "You need to do everything I say, whether it's idiotic or not, and work your butt off for low pay, all the while putting up with my abuse."

To me, it was the equivalent of deciding to date someone who complained bitterly about their ex.

Fri Oct 8, 2021, 02:59 PM
Oct 2021

Bachelors degree or higher preferred for entry level position
Must have 5 years experience in software that literally nobody uses but us
Fill out lengthy online application re-stating everything you already put in attached resume
We expect lots of groveling and sucking up in your cover letter about us
We'll contact you in a week to schedule an interview in a time that's most inconvenient for you
Go through interview process and be told to wait for another contact date, even though your desperate for a job now
Though we stated immediate positions available, we'll just sit on your resume and waste your time to satisfy hiring managers massive ego
Weeks later after you have forgot about us, maybe, we'll send you cut-and-paste email stating "out of may candidates you just didn't make the cut. We encourage you to give up on your hopes and dreams and we'll keep your resume on file"

repeat cycle many times over many months.
and they can't fathom why there's a worker's revolt.

if you base your business on paying your employees the least amount that you can, then you shouldn't be in business.

those days are over, the workers of this nation are finally waking the fuck up.

this is what will eventually push us all to have a living wage for all workers.

once you have all workers getting a living wage, poverty will take a dive.

and to extrapolate, if poverty goes down, so does many of the problems associated with it.
