I suspect that she does.
And no one has more patience than Nancy Pelosi.
I have heard her say more than once that "Public sentiment is everything... With it, you can accomplish almost anything. Without it, you can accomplish virtually nothing.
In my opinion, this is one of her guiding principles. She knows that Trump is guilty and should be arrested but she also understands that the "public sentiment" is not yet there.
They will get to Trump in due time. As of now, they must hold those accountable that aided and abetted him in his attempt to overthrow an election and to keep himself in power.
I think those are the bounds that Speaker Pelosi is working within.

(111,085 posts)The environment will be much different next year at this time. I would not be ready to give up on the subpoenas just yet. We will see how many of those that were subpoenaed, that were associated with the rally, defy the subpoenas? That will determine the Committee's next move, perhaps?

(111,085 posts)I think they may wait until this time next week and if they defy the Committee subpoenas to appear personally, then they will send criminal referrals to the Justice Dept.
It will probably then go to the courts.
Hopefully it will be quickly resolved.

(46,039 posts)Plus, Rick Wilson. I'm hoping for a quick resolution, too, and I'd love to see a press conference followed either by the bastards showing up to testify or being taken off to jail.

I think Rick Wilson is wrong on this one. It is too early to dismiss the intentions of the Committee or the Justice Dept at this time.
Neither Nancy Pelosi or the Committee are yet ready to surrender.
