In Italy, most people wear them on the wrist or elbow.

(32,626 posts)sewing a button on each end. I slip the elastic over the ear, and onto a button, do the same thing on the other side. It allows me to pull my mask down, around my neck skipping the ears entirely.

(4,380 posts)The cloth, multi-color and/or design, unchosen clean ones hang by the ear loops from a pants hanger on the towel bar in the ground-level half-bath, his on one side - mine on the other, with fresh filters for their pockets in a bag inside the vanity cupboard next to the extra TP rolls. Makes for fast change with sanitizing/hand/and mask washing on the flip-side. There is also a supply of the blue surgi-masks in the car glove box just in case. Alternatively, I have worn it on the wrist/elbow and/or stuffed in a pocket. We are now fully boosted by vaccine as well.

(4,907 posts)I have a pretty big collection. Decided since I'm not wearing much makeup, I would fashionably coordinate my masks to my outfits. My husband says he's going to build me a mask wall like Moira's wig wall in Schitts Creek. I put them in the laundry after each wearing.

(34,095 posts)From the basic to the most protective, each car has a collection. The linen closet has bags of them. My purse always has about 4 of them but when I do not take the entire thing with me the car is supplied.
When I take it off I am usually outside and getting to the car so I just carry it.
I had my very first reaction since at the store yesterday for the first time I felt like we were the only people wearing masks. One lady (I thought of her as an old lady but that isn't fair as I have somehow become one of those myself!) without a mask rolled her eyes dramatically and obviously at me and mouthed the word idiot. I pictured her in a coffin and that was enough for that episode. I was quite proud because I wanted to "wrassle" her to the floor and punch her.
Sorry I went too far. I carry it.

(30,613 posts)When I'm heading into any building other than my own house, the mask (and a face shield) is on.

(50,236 posts)with very low rates of Covid and virtually everyone wears a mask in a place like the grocery store where there are lots of people. This morning, for example, I went into a huge garden supply store and I think there were only 3 people in the whole store so I didn't put on the mask until I approached the checkout.

in a plastic bag. Theres an unopened box of 20 in the emergency supplies in the trunk of my car, and a couple in the drop-drawer. Theres a table in the front hall, and in its small drawer are extra keys, extra sunglasses (Im really light sensitive), and a packet of masks.
The nice thing about having a good supply of disposables in the drop-drawer of the car is I can offer one to a friend when were out.
Such is modern life.

(26,106 posts)One upstairs, one downstairs, one or two in my purse, a couple in each vehicle. When I wore a cloth mask I wore it around my neck because I made them with a cord adjuster (like on a coat). I tried a lanyard with KN95s, but I fumbled around too much.
