Because they got a job, and now can't afford their medication.
What an effed up country.
Just informed me today why they weren't feeling well.
My white hot hatred for Republicans burns a little hotter today.
I am sure they can spend 6 months getting jerked around and find some Healthcare at some point in the future.
And you wonder why folks don't want to go to work.

(21,716 posts)I'm on Obamacare, and I pay $1,250 a month for insurance. I will turn 65 in 2022, so I'm looking forward to Medicare.

(6,829 posts)She makes too much for Medicaid but the subsidies for low income are extensive.
Plus Biden re-calculated the formulas in January when he got in and the premiums for virtually everyone went down

(65,042 posts)I don't qualify for anything on the ACA exchange because income is too high.
So, with completely independent coverage just for me, I was at $1,326.
The ACA only saved you $76? That's very surprising. I was assuming it would be far better than that.
BTW: Now, with Medicare I pay $220 from SocSec, $157 for a BCBS supplemental, and $48 for Part D. Huge savings! So, you've got that nice nugget on your horizon.

(21,716 posts)I made out a few years ago, had a quadruple bypass , and from the bills I saw for it, I was glad I had health insurance.

The ACA was never meant to straighten out all the crookedness.

Only problem is we don't control an army of radio stations and TV networks or foreign propaganda outlets.
