(4,552 posts)When it is just items belonging to the person that are found?
Or maybe they called the ME as a precaution, anticipating they would find a body?
Interesting.

Is anybody surprised that it would end this way, other than it took this long?

(9,067 posts)was discussing that particular part of the reserve was just opened back up after a search. The parents then told police they were going to search themselves and the police went with them and voila. One guest questioned if the parents and their son were playing at something here (in consideration of their past evasions).

(51,308 posts)According to an interview with a Florida man familiar with the area, theres been no sighting of vultures at all, which there would be if there were a body.
I think the pos is alive and in hiding. Parents are helping him.

(30,613 posts)Sorry, that theory seems pretty far-fetched.
Not saying they're innocent, but it appears he's dead (and largely now alligator poop).

The remains were found near a backpack consistent with items Brian Laundrie may have had

(10,885 posts)Has MSNBC walked this back? Just flipped over from CNN, and MSNBC is just mentioning "articles belonging to Brian Laundrie, not body parts. CNN reported the same.
ETA: Just found this on NBC website, but it's still speculative: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/brian-laundrie-s-personal-items-found-florida-nature-reserve-medical-n1281975

This is the only reference anywhere that I can find to body parts being found.
Still early and a lot more to come.

(10,885 posts)CNN just reported the FBI confirmed "items of interest have been found..." again nothing about body parts. CNN is being very conservative in their reporting, but I think it's warranted.
