They're all rooting for Biden to fail

Republicans, Trumpsters, right wing media, anti-immigrant racists, corporations and millionaires whose taxes will go up if BBB is passed. They've been trying to sabotage Biden's presidency since before it even began.

And they're succeeding because all average Americans see and hear about in the news is how awful the country is doing and that it's all Democrats fault.

Average Americans have no long term memory. They've already forgotten about 2020 and how Trump ignored the pandemic and wrecked the economy. They've forgotten about January 6th or never bothered to watch the footage. They've forgotten what happens when Republicans are in power and how they govern.

The only upside is that we're only 10 months into Biden's term. Maybe in 6 months or so the Trump obsessed media will chill out and cut back on the "sky is falling" narrative. And Americans traumatized by the pandemic and Trump’s craziness will take a step back and look at Biden and the Democrats achievements and not focus daiily on what they've yet to achieve. At least we're trying to solve the country's problems. Not ignoring them like the party of no.

away anytime soon. That’s what Biden said, he even indicated that things could get worse going into 2022. Heating oil has gone up 53% . There’s no way I can make it through this winter with $900 a month oil bills.

He's not trying to downplay or ignore our country's problems or distract people with culture war issues.

Meanwhile according to Republicans the biggest threats to America are higher taxes on corporations,
critical race theory and refugees at the border.

Our home was built over two years - finished in 1909. We had to have the dormant oil tank removed by the seller before we could close. Gas lines installed in the 1920's.

People outside of our borough - in the township in new McMansions have it filled - not new tanks though. They also have wells.

Also interesting that new homes use heating oil as well. I had assumed that its use was mostly in homes that are older. Does a winter require multiple “fill ups”?

We have a natural gas furnace as most homes do in this part of the country, but our winters are generally milder than some parts of the country in the upper Midwest and upper east coast states.

Yes oil heat is just like propane delivered by truck. Even in Manhattan NYC. Though they are phasing it out gradually here.

in US history. Trump and his fellow insurrectionists hindered a peaceful transfer of power. And Trump still hasn't conceded defeat and the media acts like that's normal. Instead speculating constantly on whether he'll run in 2024.

A year in politics is like an eternity. A lot can happen between now and the midterms. A lot of people don't even pay close attention to politics until the weeks before an election.

The average person doesn't follow the daily ebb and flow of political news pundits, but sees every week how much more it now costs to fill their tanks, heat their homes, or buy groceries. The rise in inflation is going to be very damaging come mid terms I'm afraid.

If Biden can keep the pandemic under control the economy will eventually bounce back. The supply chain will improve and the price of goods and gas will go down.

Plus Republicans have no economic plan whatsoever to solve this problem. Outlawing abortions, critical race theory and vaccine/mask mandates isn't going to lower inflation.

Especially for our level of wealth and industrial advancement. When I travelled to Morocco many many years ago, even as a poor country with a relatively regressive government, you would be surprised how much the average person knew about what was going on in the US at the time (talking 2007). In return, we as a general population, know absolutely nothing about what is going on in any other country. Many of us couldn't even point out Morocco on a map.

Our education system is chronically underfunded and beset on all sides with morons who want to ban the teaching of "this" or "that" which is usually anything having to do with our VERY checkered past and present on race, economics, and foreign policy. You ask any Conservative about immigration, and they'll tell you "they're coming to steal our jobs" and talk about "shithole" countries, knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the legacy of interference and exploitation, especially in Latin America since the time of our emergence as a sovereign nation. It was in Monroe's presidency that the Monroe Doctrine was laid out. WE told Europe to stay out of affairs in the Western Hemisphere, not because we wanted to end colonialism, but because the Western Hemisphere was for America to mess with.

We need to deal with our scientific and political illiteracy and the scourge of right wing propaganda.

Only Luxembourg, Austria and Norway spend more

"In 2017, the United States spent $14,100 per full-time-equivalent (FTE) student on elementary and secondary education, which was 37 percent higher than the average of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries of $10,300 (in constant 2019 U.S. dollars). At the postsecondary level, the United States spent $34,500 per FTE student, which was 102 percent higher than the average of OECD countries ($17,100)."

They have seen the success Facebook has had feeding people what they want not what factual reality is. I put a large part of the blame on them. If not for them DT would have not been voted in and we would not be at the precipice of losing our democracy because of their continued bias and the Dems lack of applying the law.

Amazing how their support has flipped this quickly. Sadly this country is 30% pure Democrats with brains, 30% pure Repugs who are evil, and 40% who flip flop with the wind.

But this time they are not playing with who to tax, they are playing with the future of the democracy and the climate of the planet.

It was the Democrats are doomed, Joe Biden’s presidency is doomed ! uGH UGH !

The American Taliban will take over in 2022 if this bill isn’t passed.

My question is, are the American people so stupid they would put the party who stopped anything to help them are going to vote them back in office?

Then our country is doomed.

I had to turn off the news for my sanity.
