The 17-year-old son of Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin tried to cast a ballot in Tuesday’s gubernatorial election twice despite being too young to vote. Youngkin’s campaign platform was focused on election fraud. #vagov

Only problem is, they were focused on Committing Election Fraud, not so much combating it.

The repub motto is, If You Ain't Cheating, You Ain't Tryin'.

And even if you get caught cheating, NOTHING will happen to you, so don't worry about it.

Voting rights activists compare Mason’s case to other voter fraud convictions, such as Terri Lynn Rote, an Iowa woman who tried to cast two votes for President Trump, and Russ Casey, a Texas justice of the peace who admitted to turning in fake signatures in order to get on a primary ballot. Those defendants, who are white, received sentences of two and five years’ probation.

There is no law on the books about 'attempting' to cast a fraudulent vote. He tried, but did not break the law.

This is still a very bad story for his Father's image and reputation.

Republicans have had states with less evidence of voter fraud than that do MULTIPLE audits of the same election in the same state.

Twice is corruption.

Not surprised as I've been wondering how many of today's young people have been learning the art of corruption from TFG and their corrupt parents.

What he did was undoubtedly wrong, but you can't arrest/prosecute someone unless there's a law on the books that applies to their behavior.

He sounds like a dumb kid who got a little too excited about his father running for office and did a really stupid thing. Trying to do it a second time was even more stupid. But if VA doesn't have a law against that particular flavor of stupid, there's nothing to arrest him for. It's maddening, but (to use a severely overworked expression) it is what it is.

And it helped him win, should we as Democrats also be running on election fraud/integrity in the midterms?
Might take away a R talking point, plus make voters decide who would do a better job of combating it.
