RKBA (Right to Keep and Bear Arms) that government is obligated to protect as acknowledged by SCOTUS.

(16,184 posts)where all your civil rights are restored upon completion of your sentence. the RKBA is denied only if your offense was perpetrated with a firearm, or a firearm was used in commission of your crime. Alaska went so far as to write into their restoration that it superceded federal law.
don't ask me why I know that.

Personally I think felons should have the right to vote. We're all felons, just most of us haven't been charged yet.

Remember the crap Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris pulled in Florida? They used a computer program that coded a person as ineligible to vote based upon a PARTIAL match of information with a convicted felon.

(36,827 posts)There is simply no nexus between someone who has committed a felony and their voting rights. Racism is the only reason this practice persists in most states.

That is, unless they vote republican. Then they are good God fearing conservatives whose voices demand to be heard.
I hope he has fun jail!
