Dr. Oz intends to run for Senate in Pennsylvania

The doctor is in.

Mehmet Oz, surgeon and star of “The Dr. Oz Show,” plans to run for the Senate in Pennsylvania in 2022 and will do so as a Republican candidate, TMZ reported.

He has reportedly already lined up a campaign staff, with Chris Hansen, the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s former executive director, picked to lead Oz’s platform.

The development comes several weeks after a representative for Oz acknowledged that the TV personality had gotten support for a potential political campaign.
