(6,930 posts)If it wereto happen, and she be successful, and you didn't like her, that would mean your views on the subject were out of touch with majority views. It wqoul not mean that either you or the majority were "right" or "wrong."

(3,635 posts)The problem with CNN is both siderism and an outdated understanding of what viewers seek from cable news. The modern day audience wants content with a well defined perspective. FOX has the RW audience. MSNBC is doing well because they positioned themselves as the liberal leaning alternative to FOX. The loyal cable news viewer is usually a political junkie who has strong views either way.

(15,224 posts)She does not come across well and she doesnt question well in my opinion. And she needs to stop the annoying head shaking to make her hair move.
Anderson Cooper needs to stop saying you know all the time, too. Its not professional.

(13,197 posts)I'd like to see Maggie Haberman try it if she has any interest, or Kirsten Powers. Jim Acosta has been very solid lately too. I like Rachel Maddow a lot. Kaitlan Collins would be a possibility too. I would not like to see Jake Tapper there. Not a fan of Smerconish either.

(24,330 posts)lives by the Canons of Journalism. This will seem so foreign in today's world of cable news few would even recognize it as journalism. I learned it in the 60s in high school juornalism class:
https://theblogitor.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/7-canons-of-journalism/
It's from 1923 yet it could revolutionize today's "journalism".

(6,213 posts).... and holds her ground and tells truths and facts. LIVE on TV in front of a gaggle of talking heads trying to get a sound bite.
Jen Paski I'd hate to see her leave her current position. But to this 74-year-old she could be the female Walter Cronkite "the most trusted name in broadcast news.
