Did Mitt sweat a lot more in this debate than in the previous two?
Apparently he furtively pulled a handkerchief from his coat pocket in the first debate although I don't recall seeing him use it to mop his face. I didn't notice the sweat in either the first or second debates. If the sweat was much heavier in this debate, could the lighting alone have made a greater difference this time?
In addition to the sweat, Romney seemed slower-tongued in this latest debate, less manic, less frenzied, and more fatigued and lethargic. He looked tired. In the first and especially in the second debate, he looked like he was all hopped up on something and couldn't sit still.
We know that Mitt's wife has described emotional and mental problems that he's been coping with. Could Mitt have been on anti-depressants tonight to treat anxiety or panic attacks? Apparently there are some prescription medications that can provoke extreme sweating while also causing fatigue and lethargy.
I'm not trying to make excuses for him and I understand that the Romney camp is trying to spin his performance as a planed tactic to make him look less manic, strident, and out of control and more measured and Presidential. But he seemed like a different person last night and we know his family has been dropping hints about his mental instability.
