but they will all be perfectly free to try again in 2024, this time with the experience of the previous attempt as training.

The investigations reveal more of the depth and planning involved but I have heard nothing of any corrective measures that will be taken. They seem to rely on public outrage to be the only mitigating factor.

By the end of next year Congress will likely be controlled by Republicans so if serious and expansive corrective measures have not been taken by then 2024 will be the end of our 250 year democracy and the start of a new toxic dictatorship controlling the United States.
