How many Republicans will vote to hold Mark Randall Meadows in contempt?

Personally, I will be surprised if there are more than two.

What will we be able to glean from that vote today?

First of all, it will show that the Republican Party is still firmly in the control of Donald Trump. No doubt, they will argue that the Committee is about "going after Trump", not about Mark Meadows.

That is why the DOJ should prosecute people like Meadows and Bannon to the max. Republicans don't really care about these folks. They only care about Trump.

It would be nice to see a few Republicans follow the law, but don't hold your breath.

If they can get the investigation to stop at Meadows, there will be a sigh of relief...plus they are free to try it all again.

The GOP has changed so much since my youth ... many probably then harbored similar thoughts, but it was more concealed/contained, I think. Most of the GOP IMO are similar to Trump, and he's their leader of the cult, their hero and lots of hero worshiping. Those that don't agree in the GOP are gutless and can't stand on their own ... and call bullshit on Trump. Liz Cheney is certainly one exception. I think the division in the US is permanent and I really have no idea where that will eventually lead ...

They should prosecute everyone around him and send a few to jail.

Eventually, that is what will break the spirit of the cult, in my opinion.

Presumably we'll at least have both Cheney and Kinzinger.
