...can we assume that you believe, based upon your personal knowledge in the matters of which we have been speaking...
...do you believe that everything that was done in the matters and days and doings culminating in the attack upon American Democracy...
...do you believe, based upon your answers Mister Stone, that all these activities were unlawful? Yes or no!

He's looking for the door to immunity so he can lie his way out of any culpability. Roger was a major player in this just like Manafort and if there was anything dirty in the plan or the financing BOTH of them were in it up to their necks. That's how they roll.

Stone is owned by Trump. So he's not going to be honest. These people still think Trump is going to retake the presidency.

considered in the rules of conduct for a Congressional Investigation, nor I suspect would the testimony derived be admissible, strictly speaking. However I do suspect it could lead to very interesting answers from some of the other recalcitrant witnesses.

Just my two cents worth of investigatory proposal, what with water-boarding being off the table, as it were.

…President Trump, who you are trying to protect, claims a person who has nothing to hide would be happy to answer questions. Since you ‘pleaded the Fifth’ when we asked you if you’re Roger Stone, then proceeded to do the same thing for every question after that, the Committee must assume that you are in fact guilty of what we’re asking you about.”

“No! That’s not what I meant at all!”

“Then start giving us some straight answers.”
