Remember when the Squad, Bowman and Bush voted against BIF?

The Democrats threw away what little leverage they had over Manchin and Sinema and those six wise Democrats knew exactly what would happen. We owe them our loyalty and our respect as they were watching and protecting our backs.

Lots of discussions in Senate about ending this year’s session as soon as tomorrow. Today seems unlikely but they are trying to wrap a deal for a bunch of nominations to be confirmed. Then head home for the year, punting BBB until 2022

BBB and voting rights are both dead as no significant piece of legislation will get passed in an election year. We are so fucked.

Tanking the two bills would look extra bad for them. They needed to come to the middle on BBB, vote on it, and shut up.

Or, more realistically: they would be doing the same dance they're doing now, but we would have nothing at all.

a tutorial on how to be effective legislators. He knows how to use his leverage for his goals and they haven’t a clue how to get anything done.

I don’t like what Manchin is doing but he knows what he is about.

Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley, Tlaib, Bowman and Bush should seek out Biden and not Manchin for advice on legislating.

Nancy Pelosi to show them the ropes. She's a mighty fine legislator.
