*Not* BOROWITZ: Eric Drumpf says he & his family weren't smart enough to collude or anything

It would be an almost plausible strategy and would cover just about anything they did, including the attempted coup based on not knowing how the Electoral thing works, except that isn't it a basic principle in Law that ignorance is not exculpatory?!

Add "the world" and "immigration" to the list of things he doesn't know the Hades about.

WATCH: Eric Trump Says His Family Wasn’t ‘Smart Enough To Collude With Russia’

.... “We weren’t smart enough to collude with Russia,” Trump said on the latest edition of Uncut With Jay Cutler podcast. “We didn’t know what a delegate was.”

The former president’s son went on to trumpet another example of his ignorance — in an effort to further establish his intellectual inability to collude. “I remember walking up to a caucus in Iowa, I looked at this little young staffer and said, ‘Hey can you tell me what a caucus is? Because I have no idea what the hell I’m supposed to be doing here.'”

Trump said after the “young staffer” explained to him what a caucus is, he reiterated how uninformed he is. “I go, ‘You understand they actually know something about politics right? What the hell do I know about the world? What the hell do I know about immigration?'”

Trump then doubled down about how his families lack of knowledge inhibited them from colluding. “We weren’t smart enough to collude,” Trump said a second time. “From the second we got into politics the impeachment started and they wanted to take us out.”

You didn’t have to DO anything. You just had to keep quiet, and let it happen.

I watched a video of him filmed years ago where he was showing off a gigantic mansion that he was renovating, and trying to keep it historically accurate. He really seemed to enjoy talking about the history of the place- and didn't seem "show- offy." He MIGHT have been the normal one in the family that was made fun of.

That said, he's still a Trump, and his wife is heinous.

Some never bothered to vote before (people in their 60's and up) and yet here they were ignorant about the voting process.

I had to help them cast a ballot for the ignoramus. After that I decide I could not do that ever again. Sorry Barack!

10. Exactly. Mueller couldn't come up with a legitimate reason

to let the trumps off for the trump tower meeting, so Mueller said they were too stupid to possess the requisite “intent” to collude with Ruskies.

14. If this is true, Eric, than you probably shouldn't have gotten into politics at all.

You really need some knowledge about what you are getting into unless you're wanting to make a complete idiot of yourself. Which you and your family seem to have done. Sounds like that 'little young staffer' was a lot smarter than you.
