1. General Patton
2. Joseph Stalin
3. The Mafia
4. The Mossad
The above figures could've or can make your life a living hell if you've done something to upset them.
However, these pale in comparison to Joe Biden.
Hell hath no fury like a blue collar guy that's been scorned. Manchin has no idea what he's really done and the anger he's just unleashed.

(36,109 posts)Biden isn't going to do anything to get back at Manchin. I don't know why you'd think that
The saddest thing here is the effect it likely has on Pelosi's ability to negotiate with the progressives in the House moving forward. Now THEY are likely to be steaming, after all the "trust" building talk during the BIF vote and the flack they took.

The real reason i say this is that Joe Biden reminds me so much of my Dad. Never break your word with either of those two

(15,325 posts)...will be a come to jesus moment for Joe Manchin.
Biden's a humble man. Manchin will have to stand there before him, face to face in private & look Joe Biden in the eye. There's nothing to be said. Sorry won't cut it.
Just stand there & know you betrayed & stabbed your old friend in the back when he relied solely on your vote, Mr Manchin.
A sad, cowardly & pathetic way to end your friendship.

(18,890 posts)They play the long game - the smart ones at least.
He likely has been planning his 'GOTCHA' for years and is sipping champagne.
They feel GOOD when they win the game they planned and planned and planned and played.
It's some sick sh*t.

(15,325 posts)My ex-son in law is a classic narcissist.
The stor8es of my daughter's 10 years married to him & how he treated her & my 2 grandkids is burned in my memory forever.
I went to visit them 2 yrs ago at xmas. On xmas day I witnessed his full display of narcissistic personality, called the cops & he narcissistically talked hos way out of being blame for putting his hands around her neck.
I was stunned.
Packed her suitcase, school backpacks for the kids & a little suitcase of clothes for them & their personal documents, walked them out the door, spent 4 nights in a hotel, secured them a place to live near some good friends, stayed till they were ok & kids in school. Furnished her apt, got her an attorney & had to return to Dallas.
She since bought a house, makes a good salary, kids are doing well in counseling & school tho she fought for a year to get them to see one. He refused to sign on to that, till her Atty got an Ad Litem appointeed for the kids.
They only speak to each other thru their attorneys.
All because he is a narcissist.
They are either freaky scary or make you feel like old friends.
There's not alot of middle there.
UGH!
See. This is how a narcissist wil haunt you forever. They don't have the capacity to give a shit.
Seriously, alittlelark I believe after witnessing Trump that there are far more with that personality sitting in powerful positions, than there are decent human beings anymore.
I honestly never was aware of that narcissictic personality, with all the people I've known throughout my life, until my son in law showed up.
If Manchin fits type, I'm not surprised by his betrayal to Biden. He did it without a second thought nor remorse.
Feels like this country's being taken over by the Narcissist Party. 🤨
Ok. I'm done here for the night.
I'm going to call my daughter.
Thanks for letting me rant...

(18,890 posts)There are some great PhD's discussing what is happening to the lives of individuals and our country as a whole.
Narcissists SUCK - and they are gaining control.

(31,828 posts)When my 74 year old mom says that - duck.
I think Manchin is going to hear "well my friend" on that call.
After reading Psakis statement - I'd love to be able to listen in on that conversation too.

(15,325 posts)That's why it ended up being seperated. And we now at least have Infrastructure passed.
They all voted No to BIF. Manchin voted No to BBB.
This is what they all own. This is what's left after the but..but..but..spin.
So why'd they waste an entire summer stalling & kicking it around, knowing Manchin was set on a NO vote on BBB?
Not sure what they're claiming today as some victory. Manchin was never going to vote for BBB.
They made a statement with their NO Vote on BIF, same as Manchin made a statement with his declaration of NO on BBB.
I'll applaude in gratitude the bipartisan Senate who voted Yes on BIF early on, & the House who Voted Yes on BIF.
Those Yes Votes that spoke to their States & Districts that they are doing for them, what they were sent there to do.
BRAVO to those legislators who were in touch with the needs of their cities & communities back home, & delivered for them when the opportunity was placed in front of them.
Anyone else has nothing to to be proud of today.
Sit down.

(29,149 posts)it to get the bill passed. Apparently Manchin thinks Joe needs him more than he needs Joe. If Joe could show him otherwise I'm sure he would.
