(27,369 posts)People have supported legislation that doesnt have enough support to pass for centuries. They dont suddenly not support something just because theyre unwilling to change the rules in order to pass it.
How much does Manchin actually support voting rights, if he has the ability to do something to get voting rights passed, yet refuses? This is one important reason why plutocracy and democracy cant coexist.

(12,119 posts)It doesnt have to be all or nothing. Manchin recently agreed to a filibuster change for the budget. Apparently, hell negotiate in bad faith over voting rights, too.
