About the child tax credit

When trump did the tax cuts he took away personal exemptions but added a thousand dollars to the existing child tax credits to make up for it.

Democrats added another thousand to them and lowered how much you could make and still receive the credits ( the old limit was $400,000 the new limit $150,000)

Then we democrats decided to pay half the credits each month instead of people having to wait until the end of year.

My point being, child tax credits are nothing new, they exist because the federal government realizes raising children cost money and children are good for America
