(13,498 posts)at my page on my doctors portal yesterday. I saw something I am questioning. My Covid-19 vaccines-all 3-are listed because I uploaded them to my portal page. Then it said in February it would be time for my fourth Covid vaccine. I got my booster in August because I am immunocompromised and that would be 6 months. I didnt know we were allowed to get a second booster. I know it has been talked about, but not aware they have made a decision yet. Anybody heard anything on this?

(7,849 posts)Israel is recommending a second booster for people 60 and over..don't know if the CDC is recommending a second booster yet, but I'm getting one anyway...
booster at a pharmacy and they are strict about following cdc guidelines, and if it isnt approved, doubtful pharmacies will give them. My first two were done at a hospital that was participating in giving vaccines back in the spring.

I checked online to see where and when the booster was available...unlike the first two where I had to drives 40 miles on an icy freeway I found a CVS close by and scheduled an appointment for the next day...this time there were no lines, no bays, no questions..I showed the pharmacist my vaccine card and 5 minutes later I walked out boostered.. I remember thinking if I had told the pharmacist I wanted two boosters he probably would have complied...that's how disinterested he was...three weeks ago what I thought was a bad cold was, in fact, covid-omicron...the symptoms lasted three days..I'm going for that fourth booster, CDC approved or not...

(65,010 posts)I took my wife for her booster a week or so after I got mine.
With this current spike, I'm glad we didn't procrastinate.

(6,390 posts)there was a line to get the shot. Probably because of the holidays. I got my booster a couple months ago, I don't mess around anymore. The last time I got the flu, it hit me hard and I was deaf in one ear for a week. After that, I get all my shots.

(938 posts)Living in Trumpistan, this was a relief. Just a sore arm, which I consider a good sign as it likely means fresh antibodies are crowding into the area.
Was in another store today when a dude came in with a shirt that said "Unvaccinated." After he left, the clerk and I agreed that it actually said, "I'm a dope."
