FOX News goes nuts over Satanic Xmas display

In the Illinois State Capital a Satanic Temple installed a Baby Baphomet scene next to a Nativity scene. FOX News goes predictably nuts over it. They interviewed Franklin Graham who quickly declared it was Satans war against Christmas. I’m not a supporter of Satanic Temple stuff but as an American who supports the Freedom of Religion I’m happy to support their right to worship as they please. It seems to me these folks who are screaming about the war on Christmas and religion are the same ones who want to deny other religions their rights. Hypocrites.

Fox and their viewers don't know, and won't bother to learn, that LaVeyan Satanism isn't about demon-worship at all. It's atheistic secular humanism. Are there Satanists who believe in and worship literal demons? Sure, but that's completely different. In any case, that's how freedom of religion works, folks. If the Christians get a display on state property, so does any other religion.

I am reminded of a pretty funny joke about Satanism, though. A Satanist sets up an online AME (ask me anything). The first question is, "How's the eighth grade going?"

12. i remember reading about them a while ago

and, overall, am rather impressed with them. i want to say they do a lot of "stunts" to shove hypocrisy up religious/hypocritical asses and it makes me think of some strangely unique variation of performance art.

and i agree with your comment. they do seem to be far more "christian" than those who claim to be.
