(25,857 posts)Just wondering.
Actually, I know it's allergies, which is highly annoying. I'm reasonably certain I have not had Covid, although I suppose it's possible I got it and was totally asymptomatic. But my nose does run all the time, alas, poor me.

(5,723 posts)Surely we've all seen or met that child: the little s**t who can be counted on to ruin the party, destroy the presents, set the fire, or do whatever awful thing is within his reach and power. The Beavis, the Eric Cartman, the Bart Simpson without the scripted self-awareness and/or regret. When a parent or bystander asks why he's done that awful thing, he has no answer--but he's clearly reveling in the attention, even if he's about to suffer for his idiocy.
Add thirty or forty years to that and you have your average antivaxxer.

The propaganda is winning.
Most of these people never gave a damn about politics until Reagan convinced them that "others" were to blame for all their troubles.
The propaganda machine now is supercharged.

(5,723 posts)My experience has been the exact opposite, aside from the "gullible" part.

(205,352 posts)I know he doesn't like to go out much and I convinced him to get vaccinated last spring. But when I stopped by just before Christmas, he had a surprise for me - he showed me his vaccination card with a third line filled in. He had to out to get his prescription filled (he goes through the drive thru) and noticed that the lighted sign at the vaccine clinic where he got his first two shots is accepting walk-ins - so he got his booster a week ago Thursday. I told him that's all I needed for Christmas!
