(9,998 posts)Good luck with that idea. More than half wont wear masks unless they have to, let alone an N95.

(11,913 posts)ordered 40 more disposable 3M N95 masks (Amazon). Got the original bunch 3 wks ago for our trip to FL to unvaxxed family for my FILs memorial service. Both my husband and I have been wearing them ever since, along with my son and daughter. Daughter works with unvaxxed and COVID spreader coworkers, son is in retail clothing sales plus a college student. Thankfully hubby and I are still working from home (IT). Hubby said he may continue to wear them even if COVID went away. He finds it easier to breathe outside and in the cold air.
My boss's son got married before xmas, huge family gathering, no proof of vax or masks for the wedding or reception, and now both the bride and groom have it. Not too sure my boss doesn't with the way she was trying to catch her running nose and was coughing during meetings last week. She said it was due to sinus and getting her booster. Maybe....

(34,069 posts)The fitration effectiveness is indistinguishable from the N95 masks and they breathe really easily. (The KF94 masks go through certification by the S. Korean government - and seem to be less prone to counterfeiting which plagues the K/N95s.)

(11,913 posts)For the procedure, I have to lay face down with my head resting on my arms and turned. They suggested I remove my mask to make breathing easier. That was 2 wks ago. They just tightened their hospital policy - starting tomorrow, no visitors. Patients in for outpatient procedures who are under their own mobility and cognizant have to come alone with their docs. Everyone must mask and show a negative COVID test done in the past 72 hrs or show proof of latest vaccination/booster. For ER and L&D, one support person (and a doula for L&D) masks only are required until the patient is admitted. Then you have to provide the other docs or be tested at the hospital.
