I would try to feel sympathy, but, my anger would probably show as a serious face carefully trying not to explode.

it isn't helpful to cultivate and nurture it. We cannot control other people, we can only control ourselves. As a Buddhist, I imagine asking the Dalai Lama to take me by the hand and help me to see what he sees.

toward every last rotten SOB with a big megaphone, casting doubt if not outright hostility upon the idea of vaccination. They are absolutely responsible for the deaths of so many.

78% of the unvaxed thinks their personal freedom is more important than public health. Where does this kind of selfishness come from. Can we say Reagan.

My husband, who is vaxxed & boosted, has been asked to pick up his unvaxxed cousin + family from the airport when they fly in from Florida tomorrow…. 😡

I told him to order an Uber for them!

We currently have 6 in the family with Covid- all vaxxed and doing ok.

arranging transportation for them. Let them deal with the consequences of not getting vaccinated on their own. If they have a problem with that, then your husband will know they do not give 2 sh!ts about him nor anyone else they come in contact with.

We were not close with them but some of our other family members are devastated.

So sorry for all of your family members who are ill...hope they come through it with ease.

I'm heavily convinced that the percentage of the population who are not going to get the vaccine are voluntarily killing themselves. And they will die before they will admit that they are wrong about any of this. And there's a definite cross section of MAGA voters and anti-vaxxers.

My cousin's husband and mother died from Covid-19. Entire household got it. None of them vaccinated. Her mother was in her 80's and in poor health. Three recovered but one of them has been in and out of the hospital since - in very poor health, the virus didn't do him any favors.

And, they recently sent me a photo of two of them together, in a crowed grocery store, no masks, hugging a stranger dressed up for the holidays in a costume.

Still not vaccinated.

Called them home. God's will. Off to be with Jesus.

Though by far the most galling thing to hear them say?

It was their time.

Yep. They said that.

Like the pandemic had nothing to do with it. Like not being vaccinated had nothing to do with it. Like Covid-19 was incidental to it all.

My mind is still reeling.

I still can't wrap my head around it.

I suspect we’ll reach the point where EVERYBODY , every last one of us, knows someone who died of COVID. Maybe also someone close. A family member or dear friend or neighbor or schoolmate.

It’s coming, if indeed it isn’t already here.

We probably all do. My cousin's wife died a few months ago, and she was a nurse. The fact that they lived in rural Georgia explains everything.
