says he can't prove it.
Westchester DA declines to bring charges against Cuomo. The Same with the Nassau County DA.
Also, NYC DA has dropped probe in to nursing home scandal.
I was told that after a thorough investigation as we have said all along there was no evidence to suggest that any laws were broken.

(11,974 posts)unless you could prove it it would still be a he said/she said. It was suggested the women could do civil lawsuits.

(20,733 posts)cost him the job, and that's ok. The women don't have horrible damage, so, not prosecuting isn't all that surprising. Like his life in general, the outcome is a mixed bag of a ruined political career but no incarceration. Sounds about right.
He was dangling the NY state public school's budgets around like a mouse for years, so, the teachers are glad to be rid of him. His tax cap did lots of damage to school programs and kids, and he thought that would make him white house material someday. So, luckily, that's over.

(35,454 posts)but he should've been voted out, not pushed out especially IF the charges were questionable.

(7,412 posts)With no witnesses or evidence any case regarding almost any crime based solely on the testimony of the accuser is destined to fail, especially if a significant amount of time has passed.

(7,412 posts)You typically can't convict someone based solely off an accusation, especially long after the fact when the chances of gathering evidence at the scene have since past. Look at the many black men in history that were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned or even lynched based solely off the false or inaccurate accusations of rape by white woman.
Even in the matter of Brett Kavanaugh and Ford, the only real evidence were the accounts of the 5 people there that day, 1 said something happened and 4 said nothing happened, there's no way to prove it one way or the other.
