Eccentric French TV star twins BOTH die of Covid within a week aged 72 after refusing vaccine: Former heartthrobs Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff shot to fame in 1980s before developing plastic surgery obsession

** Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff, eccentric French TV hosts, have both died of Covid
** Twins were admitted to intensive care on December 15 before Grichka died on December 28 from complications of the virus. Igor died on on January 3
** Friend said the pair, who hosted a popular science show, were not vaccinated
** Luc Ferry says he told the brothers 'fifty times' to get their shots but they refused, believing the vaccine was more dangerous than the illness

Before & After:

Eccentric French TV star twins who shot to fame as the hosts of a 1980s science series and became infamous for their shared love of plastic surgery have both died of Covid within a week of each other. They were 72 years old.

Igor Bogdanoff died of coronavirus at a hospital in Paris on Monday afternoon, six days after his twin brother Grichka passed away at the same hospital, also from Covid. The pair had been admitted to intensive care on December 15.

Despite being the faces of popular science for a generation of French TV viewers, it has since emerged that neither twin was vaccinated against the virus after refusing to get their shots.

Luc Ferry, a friend of both Igor and Grichka, said he warned them 'fifty times' to get vaccinated but both of them refused - insisting that they 'never got sick' and the vaccine was worse than the illness.

Speaking after the death of Grichka but before Igor passed away, Ferry insisted the twins were not 'anti-vaxx' in the sense that they didn't believe vaccines worked, but believed they personally did not need to take them.

not that they died of COVID but that they totally turned themselves into...I don't even know how to describe it other than to say freaks.

They were two very handsome men. They would have made two very handsome older guys. Addiction comes in many forms and ruins lives just the same.

From wikipedia:

In 2001 and 2002 the brothers published five papers in peer-reviewed physics journals, including Annals of Physics and Classical and Quantum Gravity.[10][11] The controversy over the Bogdanovs' work began on October 22, 2002, with an email sent by University of Tours physicist Max Niedermaier to University of Pittsburgh physicist Ezra T. Newman.[12] Niedermaier suggested that the Bogdanovs' Ph.D. theses and papers were "spoof[s]", created by throwing together instances of theoretical-physics jargon, including terminology from string theory: "The abstracts are delightfully meaningless combinations of buzzwords ... which apparently have been taken seriously."[12][7] Copies of the email reached American mathematical physicist John Baez, and on 23 October he created a discussion thread about the Bogdanovs' work on the Usenet newsgroup sci.physics.research, titled "Physics bitten by reverse Alan Sokal hoax?"[13][14] Baez was comparing the Bogdanovs' publications to the 1996 Sokal affair, in which physicist Alan Sokal successfully submitted an intentionally nonsensical paper to a cultural studies journal in order to criticize that field's lax standards for discussing science. The Bogdanovs quickly became a popular discussion topic, with most respondents agreeing that the papers were flawed.[11] The story spread in public media, prompting Niedermaier to offer an apology to the Bogdanovs, admitting that he had not read the papers firsthand. The Bogdanovs' background in entertainment lent some plausibility to the idea that they were attempting a deliberate hoax, but Igor Bogdanov quickly denied the accusation.[3][11]
