I don't believe the repuqs in Congress "believe the big lie."

I don't believe it for a second. I think they know it's a lie but they're playing along with it for their asshole followers.

Plus, of course, they'd rather die slowly and painfully than ever admit they were wrong.

“Asshole followers”. And who made them into assholes? Hate radio. Time for those in charge to put the hammer down on AM hate radio.
End of rant.

They have had a taste of what autocracy can give them and they will use any means possible to achieve it.

They do not believe it is wrong at all. They are at war with US democracy and believe all is fair in their brutal war.

But yeah, the majority of them are extremely cynical selfish assholes totally devoid of any sense of shame or morality/ethics.

They're acting as if they believe it, and I'm perfectly fine with their Democratic colleagues throwing it in their insipid faces at every opportunity. Until they publicly state that they don't believe the big lie and stick to it, they believe it, and I don't care what they whisper in the cloakroom to each other.

They don't have a choice any more. That's what happens when you're all in and fighting to keep in front of the bridges you've burned. They've never believed the hype or fake drama but there is no other role for them in a landscape designed my democrats who've finally given up shyness about calling their bluff. That's why they're stuck in Limbaugh hell for eternity. Poor babies.
