First, hydroxychloroquine was their alternative drug to treating covid. Then it was ivermectin. Now, time to buy stock in Viagra, because MAGAs are about to buy it all up.

how Covid wrecks your lungs and causes all sorts of blood clots, etc., it's possible that this was not mere coincidence or a post hoc ergo propter hoc thing, by way of some salubrious effect on cerebral blood flow in this patient.

But even if that is true, this would be a very edge case and certainly would have no use outside of intensive care settings (hello, you're talking about a patient in a coma not someone treating themselves at home), because even in this likely spurious anecdote the medication didn't treat the infection, but rather one particularly dire long-lasting consequence of the infection.

Fucking idiots are going to kill themselves with this stuff.
