Sinema, 'inspired' by a woman who filbustered in the Senate against the elimination of the poll tax

Kyrsten Sinema @SenatorSinema Jan 12
#OnThisDay in 1932, Hattie Caraway became the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate.

Caraway voted against the antilynching law of 1938 and, in 1942, joined other southern Senators in a filibuster to block a proposed bill that would have eliminated the poll tax.

The more I think she needs a psyche eval. She's either crazy or really stupid.

'acceptable' candidate for the 2024 election Dem primary, including, in addition, pre-emptive attacks on a vastly superior candidate, Ruben Gallego (who is hardly a flaming lefty btw).

Crazy or stupid to think she can get away with it.

Some here seem to think she has and will do so.

Rep. Ruben Gallego called out Sinema by name on the House floor: "Today, the House showed where it stands: We won't shrink from protecting our democracy and the voting rights of all Americans. It's past time for the U.S. Senate — and Sen. Sinema — to do the same."

From what I've read Sinema refuses to hold town halls and engage with her constituents. She's more interested in jaunting over to Europe. The people of Arizona deserve someone better.

Thanks for posting.

Sinema & Manchin represent 2.8% of US population but allowing 41 GOP senators representing just 21% of country to block voting rights bills supported by 70% of Americans that would protect voting access for tens of millions. US political system completely broken
