How many of the huge political problems we face right now would be gone if there was real campaign finance reform that prevented rich assholes from influencing our democracy?

In Fact, a NYT survey from 2020 showed more billionaires supporting Biden than Trump.
Just open up the books... we want to SEE who gives the money and to whom.

(622 posts)It frustrares me no end...get the money out of elections! Period! I want to see publicly- funded elections, and a six month presidential campain period, not a year and a half! Like free airtime on tv and radio for qualified candidates. No, I'm not sure of all the legalities or logistics involved. Smarter people than me can figure those out. I just don't think you should gave to raise half a billion or more to run a campain.
